The Quintessential Van for Commuter to Commercial Utility

No other automobile brand understands the Indian customer than Maruti does. With diligently designed cars and intelligent features, the brand established its identity in the car buyers’ hearts. It was the designs, pricing and mileage that have been the predominant factors that kept the brand ahead of the competitors.

Maruti Suzuki was the first one to recognize the non-availability of minivans in India. The designers at the automobile giant were quick to fill the gap with a custom-designed model suitable for Indian roads. Thus arrived Maruti Omni, a king on the roads once upon a time. Maruti was forced to discontinue the model due to some unforeseen issues and rumors related to the model.

A few years later Maruti introduced another model, the Maruti Suzuki Versa, in place of Maruti Omni. Nonetheless, it couldn’t maintain the momentum that was created by Maruti Omni. Maruti was expecting the model to find customers buying it for personal use. Perhaps, that presumption was out of place and they were proven wrong. The brand discontinued Versa and presented the automobile market with a commercial version of the same model; Maruti Eeco.  The car is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater versions.

Presently, Maruti Eeco registers decent sales mainly for commercial use. The exceptional space availability, admirable fuel efficiency, and matchless pricing of the model are noteworthy. Another fact to note is that the Maruti Eeco doesn’t have any rivals in the Indian car sector. Many prominent features make Maruti Eeco an uncrowned king in the specific segment. Let’s go through that one by one.

Exterior Design Features of Maruti Eeco

Car designers in Maruti might have had a simple and straightforward directive for designing the exteriors of Eeco. It must be something like, “we need a no-nonsense design with simple looks. No, we don’t require any flashy features of appealing curves. Just ensure that the car is useful for commercial purposes and for basic personal use.”

Maruti Suzuki Eeco has a completely boxy structure. It is not for those looking for elegant design concepts. Installed with halogen headlamps, tapered bonnet and plastic bumper, the frontal segment itself states the design concept.

Interior Design of Maruti Eeco

Maruti Eeco offers the basic features that one must expect from such a low-priced model. The black and beige interior looks decent. Although the normal plastic material is used all over the place, it doesn’t look that cheap. The manufacturer has given adequate attention to make the finishes proper.

Eeco has a high seating position, offering a comfortable driving experience. You may note that the car is not for long-distance journeys. Traveling for long hours will tire you and may cause physical discomfort. It can be used for short-distance family trips.

It offers features including ABS with EBD, Engine Immobilizer, Rear Parking Sensors, and Child Safety Anchors. We would say that the car is the best one for commercial use, as well as taxi purposes in the city.

Safety Components Available in Maruti Eeco

Maruti Suzuki Eeco top variants have advanced safety components installed. Even though the features are not extensive, the components amplify the confidence of the driver and instill a sense of safety. The safety features include ABS with EBD, Air Bag for the driver, Rear Parking Sensors, Child Safety Locks, Side, and Front Impact Beams, and Engine Immobilizer.

On-road Performance of Eeco

A BS-VI variant 1.2-liter 4-cylinder Petrol engine powers the car. The engine generates a max power of 62 bhp and a peak torque of 85 Nm. The engine performance is above average for the car at this price.

Besides the petrol variant, the CNG option is also available in Maruti Eeco. The profitability during the commercial use is increased further, by using the CNG variant. You can imagine the performance of the car without describing it in detail. The car will get your job done without any technical troubles or power issues.

Ride Quality of Eeco

Maruti Eeco provides a roomy interior for traveling. The ride quality is not great; however, the passengers will have enough breathing space inside. Having good enough headroom and ample width, the seating will be okay. Nevertheless, we noticed that the short legroom would give a tough time for tall passengers.

Forget high-speed drives, with the Eeco. The car is a bit bouncy and causes a significant body roll even at low speeds. You can assume the condition if it is driven beyond certain speeds. Youngsters should not consider buying the car unless it is for strictly commercial use.

Maruti Eeco Ex-showroom Price in Kerala

We have been stating that the car is affordable and competitively priced. Now let’s look into Maruti Eeco ex-showroom prices in Kerala.
